The 2nd Year Course is designed and structured in line with a conventional Year 11 scheme of work and therefore is recommended for Year 11’s, although other years are welcome to join.

What is expected on the Higher Courses.

Within the Higher 2nd Year Course we focus on the more stretching aspects of higher mathematics such as iteration, complex probability, composite and inverse functions, graphical mathematics, complex geometry and much much more. We will be covering the prerequisites of each topic and then dive into the most complex parts embracing grade 9 material. At the end of the 2nd Year Course, there is a whole term dedicated to exam practice and technique.

Can my child do both courses?
Yes! We have the opportunity for year 11’s to do both courses, which will mean investing for two lessons a week. If you have missed the first year, don’t worry there’s always a chance to catch up.
